The executive management team of Instrata Capital comprises professionals with significant investment experience and contacts throughout the GCC.
Mr. Suhail Hajee :
Mr. Hajee has 21 years of investment and banking experience
both regionally and internationally. As a member of
several senior management committees and with board
responsibilities for his previous employer Mr Hajee
has extensive management expertise. He has also previously
held responsibility for the origination, restructuring
and credit allocation of a US$300 million corporate
debt portfolio and earlier in his career managed a portfolio
of capital market investments with a value of approximately
US$500 million. Mr Hajee has extensive funds experience
and has developed private label funds and structured
products including real estate joint venture investment
funds with Kuwaiti and U.S. institutional partners.
Mr. Patrick Townsend :
Mr. Townsend is a former infrastructure banker with HSBC.
He is an experienced banker with direct exposure within the GCC
region covering major project financing transactions in the power,
water, petrochemical, industrial and transportation sectors. Prior
to HSBC, Patrick worked for Schroder Salomon Smith Barney and
Coopers and Lybrand (later PriceWaterhouseCoopers).
Patrick has been involved with several landmark transactions in the
GCC infrastructure sector, including advising the Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia on its first IWPP transaction (Shoaiba), as well as major IWPP
transactions in the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
In addition to his significant experience in the power, petrochemical
and industrial infrastructure sector, Patrick has worked on several
major international project finance transactions in Europe and Asia
and has advised on a number of international infrastructure privatisations.
Patrick is a qualified chartered accountant (ICAEW) and has a Bachelor of
Engineering from Magdalene College, Cambridge, United Kingdom.
Mr. Simon Monk :
Mr. Monk is a former infrastructure investment banker with UBS Investment
Bank in London where he worked for over 11 years. During his career he has
advised on over US$50 billion of equity and debt transactions for
infrastructure projects and companies. He has worked across a range of sub
sectors including power, water and transportation and with clients in Europe,
the Middle East and Asia. Mr. Monk is also experienced in international
mergers and acquisitions and has advised private companies, private equity
funds, as well as public companies on corporate transactions with a value
in excess of US$30 billion.
Mr. Khalid Alshakrani :
Mr. Alshakrani has 12 years of investment banking
experience during which he has held various senior positions
including Regional Head for the Kuwait, UAE, Qatar and
Oman markets and Head of Asset Management Division where
he co-managed and raised funds in excess of US$1 billion.
Mr Alshakrani also has extensive experience of identifying
and developing strategic relationships and partnerships
in the regional investment community.
Fiona Alpe :
Fiona joined Instrata Capital from UBS Global Asset Management (UK)
Limited where she started initially as Head of Real Estate Fund Accounting
for UK and Continental Europe and then as Head of Operations and Product
Development for their Infrastructure Funds. Fiona has worked in the financial
services industry for 17 years, specialising in financial management and
administration of real estate, private equity and infrastructure investments.
She has worked for fund managers in several jurisdictions including Australia,
the Channel Islands, the United Kingdom and Europe, administering open and
closed ended funds and taking a leading role in fund structuring and investor
reporting. Fiona holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of
Natal, Durban and a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Accounting from the
University of Queensland, Australia. She is a qualified Certified Practising
Accountant with CPA Australia. |
